I am a writer, script consultant, and former literary manager who has helped clients sell projects to Netflix, Lionsgate, ABC, Disney, Tubi, Max, Hallmark, Sony, Lifetime, and more.

Every month, I read dozens of scripts from amateur and professional writers. I have given thousands of hours of notes calls, resulting in writers winning competitions, finding representation, being accepted into competitive fellowships, getting staffed on TV shows, and being hired to write feature films for major studios. It all starts with a sample script that can open these doors for you.Getting feedback on your draft is easy. Knowing how to incorporate that feedback in a way that actually elevates your script to a professional level? That's hard. For years, I have watched writers make the same mistakes with their rewrites. And I have seen other writers skyrocket to professional success but avoiding those same pitfalls. Learn from the mistakes of others and save years (even decades!) of wasted time.Your screenplay deserves more than to just sit on your computer. It deserves to be read. To be loved. To be made into a movie.I will give you the tools to actually get it there.

Your professional screenwriting career starts with a great script.

A great script starts as a first draft. But that first draft is only the beginning. Most writers realize that their script needs work. But how do you know which notes to accomplish and which to ignore? How do you incorporate big changes into your script while staying true to your vision? What do you do when feedback on your script leaves you more confused than ever?I have seen writers with promising scripts miss out on career-making opportunities because they couldn't incorporate notes properly. But this is a learnable skill.Don't fumble your big break.Get competent at rewriting now, and you will be better than 99% of aspiring screenwriters. So when that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity comes knocking, you will be ready for it.

Too many writers rush through the rewrite process.

You might have heard the saying, "I hate writing. I love having written."If this is your attitude, your rewrites will never truly make your script better. If you loving having written, making big changes to your script will be unbearably painful. So you will avoid making these changes. You will refuse to delete the hard work you put in to your first draft. And you will waste years of your life making little tweaks that never solve anything. But if you love actually love to write, then the opportunity to go back and rewrite your script will be a joy. It will be fun, and you'll get to do it with a newfound confidence. Each draft will cement your identity as a real screenwriter operating from a place of power. If you resist killing your darlings, or if you try to take the easy way out, you will be disappointed. You will read announcement after announcement about screenwriters who succeed, thinking to yourself, "That should have been me!"If only you had the courage to do the work required of a real professional. But it doesn't have to be this way.You can have your most productive writing year ever. You can write a draft stronger than you ever thought you were capable of.You can write that "undeniable" script that generates momentum on its own, opens doors, and is so good that people send it to their friends without asking you.And you can have fun doing it.All while you build a real network of mentors and industry insiders who support you.

The Solution

Fun comes from confidence.Confidence comes from competence.Knowing what you're doing comes from learning tools that resonate and then applying them to your writing practice. It comes from celebrating not just at the end, but while you are on the journey.

The Transformation

Start as someone who aspires to be a professional screenwriter but is:- Frustrated by an inability to get anyone to read your script.- Tired of doing draft after draft of your project, without seeing tangible results.- Fed up with executives who ask, "What else do you have?" or say "It's not for me."

By the end of twelve weeks, you will be someone who:

- Operates like a professional screenwriter.- Writes on a daily basis and loves doing it.- Networks like a real Hollywood insider.- Has a brand new draft of your script that blows the previous version away.

I'm Audrey Knox, a writer, script consultant, and former literary manager. I have spent years helping writers level up their drafts in tangible ways that lead to professional quality material. This has led to my writers getting hired on shows including P-Valley, Ginny & Georgia, grown-ish, The Upshaws, Single Drunk Female, Reasonable Doubt, Sweet Magnolias, and more.During my ten years in literary management, I represented the writers of Alice, Darling (Lionsgate), Hot Frosty (Netflix), the Single Black Female franchise (Lifetime), Crushed (Tubi), The Santa Summit (Hallmark), and more. I worked with writers on their feature samples, resulting in writing jobs for studios including Wayfarer (It Ends with Us), DreamWorks, Disney, and Mar Vista.

Who is this for?

Are you:- A brand-new screenwriter who finished your script and has no idea what to do next?- A writer who has many drafts of screenplays, but none of them are able to get attention from Hollywood?- Someone who keeps writing and finishing screenplays, but they don't seem to be improving in quality?- A screenwriter who has received tons of conflicting notes on your draft, and now you're more confused than ever about how to proceed?- A working professional screenwriter who has stalled out and needs a push to rewrite your latest sample?

No matter where you are, the answer to your struggles is writing your next best script. You will need to write many drafts to get there. But you don't have to tackle the rewrite process alone.

Between the book club, guest speakers, film and script analysis, and the supportive accountability, I felt completely immersed and motivated. What once felt intimidating became achievable, and I finished my feature in just 8 weeks!"- Jayde Rossi

For the past year, I asked screenwriters to tell me the biggest struggles you face as you try to break into Film and TV.

This what you have said:

- I don't have access to industry professionals.- No one will respond to my queries.- I don't know if my writing is "good enough."- I don't have enough time to write.- I am overwhelmed by how much there is to learn.- I am discouraged by how long it will take to become great.- I don't know if I have what it takes.- What's the point? I don't know what to do with a finished script.- I can't find someone willing to read my material.- I keep finding reasons to put off writing because it feels like a chore.- I don't receive any support from the people in my life.- I'm embarrassed to call myself a "real" screenwriter.

These are the results of 3 problems:

Problem #1: Information OverloadThere are hundreds of books, courses, and universities dedicated to studying screenwriting.Trust me, I know. I have spent upwards of $40k over the course of my career pursuing a writing education.I don't regret it.Many clients have complimented my "innate" understanding of story structure and my "natural instincts" for knowing what to do to improve a script. But I wasn't born with this knowledge. I earned it through over a decade of experience and practice. And I know not everyone has the time (or money) to spend going down that same path.So I've put together a curriculum that walks you through the basics you need to know to have the confidence to take your movie idea from it's first draft all the way to its final form.Without guidance, you will get overwhelmed.Screenwriter Brunch Club narrows your focus on specific structural ideas each week, applied to the part of your script that everyone is working on together.By distilling the process down to one bite at a time, you can fully absorb what you learn.

Problem #2: Lack of Industry Information
Writing into the void is discouraging. How can you find the motivation to keep writing new drafts that no one will ever read?Sure, there are plenty of paid "pitch opportunities" and websites that will let you purchase coverage, but do those actually result in real relationships? With weekly experts talking about the current state of the industry, you will receive guidance on how your writing fits into the overall market. And instead of charging writers for the "opportunity" to pitch to these experts, I will empower you with tools to build your own network organically. This skill will benefit your career long after the quarter ends.

Problem #3: Surrounding yourself with fellow amateurs.
Writers need community. But seeking support from strangers on the internet will result in surrounding yourself with misinformation, discouragement, bad advice, and despair. You will never generate opportunities for yourself if the only writers you know are also outsiders.A carefully curated community of supportive insiders dedicated to leveling up their craft, on the other hand, will give you the encouragement and tools that you need to transition from aspiring to professional. This includes writing tools and networking tools. You need both to break through.

Benefits Unlocked

After 12 weeks, you will walk away with:- A supportive community of people becoming professional screenwriters.- A brand new draft of your feature length screenplay.- 5 of your biggest script notes solved.- Dozens of mindset tools that will make you immune to writers' block.- Story structure tools that will break open the matrix of feature films and allow you to understand how screenplays work.- 7 in-depth examples of scripts + feature films and their breakdowns.- A syllabus of recommended reading to take your practice to the next level.- Tangible suggestions on how to best position yourself in the current marketplace.- A toolbox of networking strategies that will transform you into a Hollywood Insider (even if you don't live in Los Angeles!)- Lifelong friendships with fellow writers and industry professionals.

I can’t make the class time. Will other times be offered in the future?
I chose Saturday mornings to host the class so that Screenwriter Brunch Club will be open to all writers, even people who have day jobs.In the future, I will host more live classes, at different times, but we haven't expanded to that capacity yet. However, every lesson and guest speaker WILL be recorded. As soon as the class ends and the recording has finished rendering, it will be uploaded to the course page so anyone who missed the class can have access to everything that was discussed. That way, even if you can't attend one or more of the live classes, you can still get the full benefits of everything the course has to offer.

I live in Australia. Can I sell my script to the US?Yes!There is so much international crossover these days. Writers in different countries can make connections and deals with Hollywood producers. But I want to be very clear: This course is not about paying for access to executives.I want there to be a strong networking component to all of this. That includes teaching students how to follow up with guest speakers in a way that will spark genuine connection. I also want to offer online and in-person networking events. But I'm not a website that lets you "pay to pitch."In order to succeed in this industry, you need to be in it for the long haul. You won't get an immediate result from the first conversation you have with someone, and I am not promising instant Hollywood success. But you will benefit from this course if you are ready to roll up your sleeves and play the long game in terms of building your skills and network. No matter where you are in the world.

I’d like to write Hallmark type scripts for rom-coms and mysteries. Will I be able to get the contacts I need to have my script looked at?Yes!I have tons of experience in the Hallmark/Lifetime/Netflix/Tubi MOW space. Many of our previous guest speakers have experience with these types of films.I can absolutely help you rewrite your Hallmark rom-com and build your network in this part of the industry. But I want to be very clear: This course is not about paying for access to executives.I want there to be a strong networking component to all of this.
